Extreme Kindness

Date: October 25th 2002. (yet another great day in my life)

Geography: Generally, Toronto.

Point form day: Up before dawn -had breakfast -followed Wendy from her house,(where we parked for the night), drove a wonderful country road to EC Drury a school for the deaf - spoke in front of 150 deaf kids -spoke at a local high school - went and played basketball with Travis, a kid who needed it -drove back to Toronto (I fell asleep on the way) -Woke up in Toronto with Much music VJ's and countless other interesting people in the RV, We were parked in front of MuchMusic -Had some great conversations -worked out way into Electric Circus -danced in front of the world -went to a club called Joker with a heap of people from EC and Jacqueline and Erin from the National Ballet. -wandered back and lounged in the RV at 3:20am -dropped the girls off and headed towards Peterborough -arrived at 6:00 and fell dead asleep.

Highlight of the day: Dancing at Electric Circus. I am terrible dancer but there was a lot of people dancing, showing off and having a great time. I'm not the biggest Shawn Desmond fan but to hear him live in the T Dot was pretty cool.

Most inspiring moment: Speaking and signing at EC Drury a deaf school. It was a real challenge but truly a fantastic way to spend a morning. These kids made me laugh, they made me cry, they made me sign. I learned how to sign my name.

Shout outs: Thank you Wendy for being such a gracious host, you make the world a better place. Cathy.... Wow how can I express how wonderful I think you are? I'm not sure that I can right now. Jacqueline and Erin again, you are fantastic dancers, thanks for the lesson (perhaps it would have been more useful BEFORE Electric Circus)

My crux: My dance moves are hurtin'. I seriously need some lessons, if anyone wants to teach me that would be fantastic.

Physically speaking: Good.

Mental stimulation: Learning sign language

Big laughs: Kelly's stuffed dog Treehorn signing 'Will you dance with me?' Have you ever seen a stuffed animal use sign language? Very funny! Also when Kelly tried to put on The Heist (one of the worst movies I have ever seen) at 6:00 in the morning. That lasted for about 2 minutes.

When I finished writing this I was: Reeking of smoke.
