Extreme Kindness

Geography: The hot and humid afternoon streets of Winnipeg. It's a different feeling city but I have to admit, I like it. A nice mix of old school and new skool architecture. Orange busses.

Point form day: Up for an early breakfast with Norma and Vern –Went to a local high school and officially made Liz, the school counselor, part of the Kindness Crew – departed for Winnipeg –Arrived at The Radisson and had a heck of a time finding parking –Had a sensational staff rally –went shopping for supplies and computer cases –had a fantastic meal at the hotel restaurant. (Pesto, chicken and mushroom pasta) -made signs for the kindness protest –

Highlight of the day: Just rolling into town. I love new places.

Most inspiring moment: Seeing how much more is lined up for the tour. Potential excites me.

Shout outs: Again thanks Vern and Norma. The friendly staff at A&B sound. The Radisson hotel staff, great energy! Wolfgang, Fantastic food.

Classic Quote: “Be carevul ve ave a vulf looze” –Wolfgang, the head chef at the Radisson to us upon introduction. If you ever come to the hotel you have to meet this guy. One of the coolest people I have met in a while.

My Crux: Stiff back.

Physically Speaking: Stiff back and neck but generally good.

Mental Stimulation: No comment.

Big Laughs: The staff rally was fantastic. We had staff acting out RAK’s and one of the scenarios was a woman saving a guy from an escaped wolf (played of course by Wolfgang) at the zoo. The trick was she had to do it kindly and without harming the wolf. Wolfgang had taken two steps towards his intended victim when she whipped out a frozen ice cream and shoved it in his mouth.

When I finished writing this I was: Listening to Punk-o-Rama.
