Extreme Kindness

Kindness is a lifestyle

Here it begins. The start of a great adventure begins with you reading this page and taking action. Kindness has become a revolutionary action and my hope is that kindnesscrew.com can be one of many hubs where you can feed and draw fuel for your own fire.

This journey has been a balance between fully engaging the most exhilarating adventure of my life and consciously, purposefully and diligently cultivating a relationship with kindness. Over the almost six years with the Kindness Crew this balance, for me, has leaned heavily on the side of the adventure. And rightfully so! That is where my passion arises. It’s when I am physically and intellectually engaging people that I am truly alive and connected to the other humans on the planet. I feel empowered. I feel like I have purpose and can create an impact. For the last three years, however, the urge to create something sustainable out of all this fantastic energy has crept up out of necessity and has taught me a valuable lesson.

Kindness is a lifestyle.

It’s simple and yet so powerful. If you want to create any kind of long-term change you must be committed to the process.

Pairing your own unique passion with positive action is the first part of kindness as a lifestyle, but the recognition that kindness must be supported, nurtured and maintained creates sustainability. Upon this recognition kindness not only becomes a weapon for world change it becomes tool for personal growth. You start to recognize it in unique areas, apply it bizarre situations and realize new limits. Simply put, you begin to grow with kindness.

So here is my first kindness challenge for you:

Set the intention for the next 24 hours to recognize how kindness enriches your life. Look to see how kindness from others facilitates learning, connection and stoke within your environment. Look at how your own kindness supports your own goals, education and enjoyment. If you begin to find this recognition useful let it empower you. Draw some of that energy and feed it to the world through positive action. Begin to create a sustainable relationship with kindness.

(Oh yeah also. Call an old friend and tell them how much you appreciate them.)

And that’s it. That’s my submission for this week. If you have any questions, comments, musings and stories please post them.

Until next time, throw this web log on to your bonfire and let it provide a resource to recognize and grow kindness in your own life.

Have fun and stay stoked.
